WEB to SMS

This simple to use Web interface allows you to communicate instantly with individuals or groups via bulk SMS messaging. It provides two-way messaging allowing you to receive SMS replies to an inbox.

Web to SMS has several user-friendly for sending SMS messages using your Internet browser. You can log on to Web to SMS wherever you have access to the Internet - at work, home, hotel, Internet café or WIFI hotspot.

How to enable Web to SMS

Register online at http://community.bulksms.co.uk/register and receive five free credits. You will need to create a username and password to use to login to the Web to SMS facility.

The following features are available with the Web to SMS solution:

Phonebook

Using our phonebook you can set up a database of names and mobile phone numbers to access and edit online. The database resides behind a highly secure firewall. The online phonebook can be used to arrange contacts into groups. Groups ensure that only targeted users receive messages. Existing databases (e.g. in MS Excel) of mobile phone numbers and personalized messages can be uploaded to the groups created on your BulkSMS.com account.

Message history with status reports

Use your Message History to find out to whom, when and how many messages you have sent and what their current status is. You can also view what messages you have scheduled to send later.

Message routing via multiple gateways

BulkSMS utilises the best messaging routes for your market, offering high reliability, high capacity and cost effectiveness. This involves providing 3 cost/functionality routes which can be selected by users. Read more

Buy and manage credits online

You are able to purchase credits online via our Commerce Centre as well as display the history of credits that you have purchased and used.

Scheduling messages for a future date

Have you ever needed to send an SMS to an individual or group from your BulkSMS account at a particular time, but knew that you would not have access to a PC or the Internet at that time? Your only option was to send the SMS out earlier or later than you had wanted to. No longer! With scheduled messaging you can set messages to go out from minutes into the future to days, to weeks and even years into the future. Go to 'Update Your Profile' to enable this feature.

Upload unique messages from file

This feature allows you to send an individual message to multiple people via a text file upload. Prior to sending you will need to create a Text (Tab delimited) File that contains each cellular number and the unique message.

Low Credit Notification

Avoid running out of credits! Set your Low Credit Level on your user profile and receive email alerts when your credits drop below this level. This feature is particularly useful for clients who use the http, ftp, and email to SMS interfaces. For more information, log into your account and click on 'Update Your Profile'.

Inbox folder

View the replies you receive to an SMS in your inbox. Download the inbox to store messages.

Manage Invoices

Manage invoices that have been issued to you. This feature allows you to view and print invoices for credit card purchases you have made. For step by step help read Invoices.

Purge Failed Numbers

Cleaning up your phone book just got easier. Use Failed Number Purge to better maintain your phonebook groups. This allows you to purge numbers based on a chosen number of consecutive SMS delivery failures. To keep your phonebook up to date read Failed Number Purge.

Controllable sender Id

You can set who the SMS is from, to either a cell number or up to 11 alphanumeric characters (e.g. MyCompany). This feature is available on most routes.

SMS Merge

Personalize your message when sending SMS messages to groups. While composing an SMS message to send to a group, all you have to do is click a button for First Name and/or Surname and when you send your message the BulkSMS system will automatically place the required information from your Online Phonebook into the message. It is that easy, and it will give your messages more credibility. Try it out on the 'Send Messages to a Group' page.

Sponsor Credit Usage

Sponsor the credit usage on other BulkSMS accounts from your own BulkSMS account. An example of where this is useful is if you have a business in which you have several people who have BulkSMS accounts, but you want to manage the purchasing and usage of credits from one central BulkSMS account. This feature is called the Sponsor-Consumer feature as the central account sponsors the consumption of credits on sub-accounts. Read more.
