Local messages (texts to mobile numbers in the UK) on the Community.BulkSMS.co.uk site cost 1 credit per message. Credits cost 3.5p (exc. VAT) each. This is a subsidised cost in exchange for including the BulkSMS tageline, 'bulksms.co.uk', in outgoing texts.
It is possible to send texts to non-UK mobile numbers from this website. Costs vary form 0.75 credits to 2 credits depending on the destination. The 'Confirm Cost' button can be used to determine the cost of sending a message before sending if required.
There is no cost for receiving replies to outgoing texts. If the number of replies exceeds the number of outgoing texts on an ongoing basis, Bulksms reserves the right to charge for MO messages. Note that the person who sends the reply will be billed whatever the standard rate is on their network for sending a text.
