BulkSMS.co.uk is a division of Celerity Systems (Pty) Ltd. The company was founded in 2000 and has its headquarters in Cape Town, South Africa.

BulkSMS.com is a global company providing commercial web based messaging platforms. From the start a web based platform was selected to avoid clients having to download any software. Clients could use these services from any PC connected to the internet. Since then thousands of users across the globe have adopted the service and it now connects them to over 500 GSM networks in 180 countries.

The strategy of BulkSMS.com has always been to provide standard platforms to allow any client to quickly deploy any SMS service. This includes SMS competitions, SMS voting, SMS information services, SMS dating services, SMS campaigns or SMS for customer relationship management. Current BulkSMS.co.uk clients include financial services institutions, clubs and societies, and companies that need to communicate with mobile support staff.
